TriRiver Water crews will need to temporarily close some roads in Siler City to complete a sewer rehab project.
The project will begin with CCTV investigations. This is when a crew sends a camera through the sewer system to evaluate what repairs need to be made and where.
Work will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11. Crews will close Chatham Ave from 3rd Street to Beaver Street. Second Street and Raleigh Street will also be closed between Birch Avenue and 2nd Avenue.
The roads will remain closed until work is completed—which should happen before 7 a.m. June 12.
The second phase of CCTV work will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11. Crews will close Raleigh Street from Dogwood Avenue to Chatham Avenue. In addition, Birch Avenue will be closed from 2nd Street to Beaver Street.
This phase should be completed before 7 a.m. June 12.
The third and final phase of the project is schedule to begin at 7 a.m. Thursday, June 12, and last a month -- reopening at the end of the day July 11. This phase will be when the sewer repairs are made. The repairs will require open-cutting on part of the roads.
During this phase, crews will close Raleigh Street from Dogwood Avenue to Chatham Avenue, Birch Avenue from 2nd Street to Beaver Street, and Beaver Street from Birch to Chatham.
Local traffic will be allowed access to the streets; only through traffic will be prohibited.
