Billing Schedule

A customer's location determines what cycle they are billed in and therefore determines their due date.

Cycle Due Date

  • Area 1 (Sanford) - 26th of each month
  • Area 2 (Sanford) - 3rd of each month
  • Area 3 (Pittsboro) - 9th of each month
  • Area 4 (Pittsboro) - 16th of each month
  • Area 5 (Chatham Park) - 20th of each month
  • Area 6 (Chatham County) - 25th of each month
  • Areas 7 & 8 (Siler City) - 15th of each month

Additional Billing Information

TriRiver Water Service Areas 1 & 2 - Sanford/Lee County

  1. Second notices will be generated 5 days after the due date. If the date falls on a non-business day, then notices are generated the next business day.
  2. All bills and charges must be paid in full before service can be restored.
  3. The cutoff list is generated on the morning of the 11th day after the due date and a $15 administrative fee is applied. If the date falls on a Friday or non-business day, then the $15 fee is applied and the cutoff list is generated the next business day.
  4. If service is cut off and you request service be restored after normal business hours, an additional $25 charge is required to be paid the following business day by 10 am If the $25 after-hours reconnect fee is not paid by 10 am, service will be disconnected without further notice and will not be reconnected again after hours.
  5. Bills are due on the 3rd, 9th, 16th and 26th. 
  6. A late fee of $5 will be applied at 5 p.m. 10 days after the due date.

TriRiver Water Service Areas 3, 4 & 5 - Pittsboro/Chatham Park

  1. No second notices will be sent.
  2. The cutoff list is generated on the morning of the 1st of each month and a $45 delinquent fee is applied. If the date falls on a Friday or non-business day, then the $45 fee and the cutoff list is generated the next business day.
  3. If service is cutoff and you request that the service be restored after normal business hours, an additional $55 charge is required to be paid the following business day by 10 am If the $55 after-hours reconnect fee is not paid by 10 am service will be disconnected without further notice and will not be reconnected again after hours.
  4. Bills are due on the 20th. 
  5. A 15% late fee will be applied on the 21st of each month to any outstanding balance.  

TriRiver Water Service Areas 6 – Chatham County

  1. No second notices will be sent.
  2. The cutoff list is generated at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the 15th of the following month, and a $35 delinquent fee is applied. If the date falls on a Friday or non-business day, then the $35 fee and the cutoff list are generated the next business day.
  3. If service is cutoff and you request that the service be restored after normal business hours, an additional $75 charge is required to be paid the following business day by 10 am If the $75 after-hours reconnect fee is not paid by 10 am service will be disconnected without further notice and will not be reconnected again after hours.
  4. Bills are due on the 25th. 
  5. A late fee of $5 will be applied on the 26th of each month. 

TriRiver Water Service Areas 7 & 8  – Siler City

  1. No second notices will be sent.
  2. The cutoff list is generated at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the 6th of the following month, and a $25 delinquent fee is applied. If the date falls on a Friday or non-business day, then the $25 fee and the cutoff list are generated the next business day.
  3. If service is cutoff and you request that the service be restored after normal business hours, an additional $75 charge is required to be paid the following business day by 10 am If the $75 after-hours reconnect fee is not paid by 10 am service will be disconnected without further notice and will not be reconnected again after hours.
  4. Bills are due on the 15th. 
  5. A late fee of $5 will be applied on the 16th of each month.
